Prevent Avoidable Point Loss on the AP Chemistry Exam
Small Classes
Why Strong Students Still Underperform
Many AP Chemistry students:
- Understand the material in class
- Perform well on homework
- Recognize formulas
But lose points on the AP exam because they:
- Run out of time
- Provide incomplete explanations
- Need better strategies
Without structured practice, even strong students leave points on the table.
This Is Not Just Review. It Is Exam Strategy Training.
Inside the AP Chemistry Exam Prep Course, students receive:
- Instruction with an expert
- Content review focused on high -yield topics
- Guided practice with real AP-style FRQs
- Full-length practice exams
Students do not just revisit content. They learn how to convert knowledge into points.
Designed for Serious Students
This course is best suited for students who:
- Want a 4 or 5 on the exam
- Plan to be premed or STEM majors in college
- Care about structured preparation
- Want to feel confident and calm on exam day
Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain instructional quality and interaction.
“My daughter was earning A’s and B’s but struggled to finish FRQs under time pressure. After Karin’s prep course, she approached questions with structure and confidence. She walked into the exam calm and prepared. We wished we had found Karin sooner.”
— R. Patel, Parent

What Sets This Program Apart
“Before working with Karin, we weren’t sure our son would earn a 3 on the AP exam. After her instruction and prep course, he earned a 4. The difference in both understanding and confidence was remarkable.”
— S. Chuang, Parent
“Our daughter was already doing well in class, but a poor practice exam shook her confidence. Karin’s course strengthened both her content mastery and exam strategy. She earned a 5 and felt fully prepared walking into the test.”
— J. Wright, Parent
Preparation works best when it is structured, not rushed. Waiting to enroll leads to limited availability and less time to strengthen weaknesses.
Early preparation allows time to correct misconceptions, build confidence and have more time for guided practice.
Learn from a UC Berkeley graduate with a Masters in Chemistry and over a decade of college teaching experience. Karin specializes inbreaking down complex topics, fostering confidence, and preparing students for the AP exam.
Students receive a structured, comprehensive review of every AP Chemistry unit, with dedicated practice for both multiple choice and free response questions. Instruction is reinforced with targeted practice sets, unit assessments, and a curated video library.
Students learn how AP Chemistry is graded, how to structure FRQ responses for maximum credit, and how to manage time and accuracy under exam conditions.
Students can choose from several course options to fit their schedule and study needs:
6-Week Course – 18 hours of live instruction
4-Week Course – 12 hours of live instruction
All options include practice exams, extra practice problems, unit assessments, and video content.
Dedicated FRQ sessions provide intensive, guided practice with real AP-style questions. Students receive step-by-step instruction on how to earn full credit, address common mistakes, and communicate answers clearly. These sessions will be added as time allows; I try to offer as many sessions as possible, as I know students often struggle with the FRQs!
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Chem Help ASAP compare to large prep companies?
Large prep companies rely on standardized curricula designed to scale. This often translates to scripted lesson delivered by inexperienced or underqualified tutors.
Chem Help ASAP offers expert-led, adaptive instruction that responds in real time to student needs. Families choose Chem Help ASAP when they value depth, rigor, and individualized attention over mass-market preparation.
Who teaches the AP Chemistry Exam Prep Course?
All instruction is taught by Karin Stevens, a trained chemist with a Masters from UC Berkeley and over a decade of experience teaching college chemistry. There are no junior instructors, teaching assistants, or outsourced tutors.
Why is live instruction important for AP Chemistry?
AP Chemistry is not a memorization based exam. Success requires conceptual mastery, strategic problem solving, and an understanding of how points are awarded, especially on FRQs. Live instruction allows for personalized feedback, targeted correction of misconceptions, and strategic refinement that large classes simply cannot provide.
How large are the class sizes?
Class sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure meaningful interaction, individualized feedback, and active problem-solving during every session. This is a curated learning environment, not a lecture hall.
What kind of student is this course best suited for?
This course is designed for motivated students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve performance, and approach the AP Chemistry exam with confidence. It is particularly well suited for students considering competitive colleges or STEM-focused majors.
What happens if I miss a class?
After each class, all slides, including worked problems, my on-screen notes, and answers, will be uploaded to a shared Google folder. The free content videos will be especially useful for reviewing any missed concepts. Plus, I’m available via email for any specific content questions!
Why are spots limited?
To maintain instructional quality and ensure every student receives individualized attention, enrollment is intentionally limited. Each student should have a chance to ask questions, not just listen to a lecture!
Does Chem Help ASAP teach “test tricks”?
Rather than shortcuts or gimmicks, students learn how the AP exam is graded and how to structure responses to earn maximum credit. This includes FRQ strategy, proper use of units and significant figures, and recognizing common scoring pitfalls.
What are FRQ Sessions?
FRQ sessions are hour long sessions dedicated to intensive FRQ practice. During this time, we’ll tackle as many problems as possible while reinforcing key test taking strategies, ensuring proper use of significant figures, including units, and showing all work to maximize credit.
Will students practice with AP questions?
Yes. Students work through AP style FRQs and MCQs in class and also on their own.

The Difference Between a 3 and a 5 Is Often Strategy
Reserve your student’s seat in the AP Chemistry Exam Prep Course before spring schedules become compressed. Limited enrollment. Structured preparation. Clear strategy before May 5.
