I earned my Master’s degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and spent 11 years as a college chemistry professor before founding Chem Help ASAP. I've been tutoring chemistry for more than 20 years.

As a professor, I saw firsthand where students tend to get stuck and what separates students who struggle from students who succeed.

My goal is to make AP Chemistry easier to understand while helping students develop the skills, habits, and confidence they need to succeed.

Is all tutoring one on one?

I also offer group tutoring for those students more comfortable tutoring with their peers.

No. Tutoring can help students who want to strengthen their understanding, stay ahead of the course, prepare for challenging assessments, or build better problem solving skills before they begin to struggle.

All sessions are live over Zoom. A tablet or device with a stylus is recommended for the best interactive experience.

Standard sessions are 1 hour, but longer sessions, especially for exam prep, can be arranged.

I explain concepts, work through examples, and then guide students as they solve problems on their own. Sessions are interactive, with plenty of time for questions.

Many students notice progress within a few sessions, but consistency matters most. Tutoring builds both knowledge and confidence over time.

I won’t just give you answers, I will guide you step by step so you understand the concepts and can solve similar problems independently.

Groups can be structured in several ways, but the most common is for students to work with other students in their class. If you would like to explore group options, please register for a consultation.

Yes! I help students prepare for AP exams, midterms, finals, and placement tests with both content review and test-taking strategies.

AP Chemistry tutoring is $100 per hour

Payments can be made via Venmo or Zelle.
